Dan and the Merseyside Contingent had a fantastic send off from their families as they met at the Pier Head to then set off to Manchester Airport to begin the long journey to Japan via Abu Dhabi - Twitter has been alive with all the news as the UK Contingents set off from all around the country to meet up again in Japan for the Jamboree.

"One of our Scouts, Dan, has won a place at the 2015 Jamboree - all the way over in Japan! Dan is going to keep us up to date with his progress on this page as he works towards the trip - he has to raise some of the money himself so we're sure you'll get behind him - it's a great honour for the Group and, of course a fantastic experience for Dan himself."
